Frank Silas current demo reel

I've been in the Video Game Industry for nearly seven years and I've never needed a demo reel til now. So here's my first go round at it. I built, lit, and rendered, all of this from scratch, including textures, in about 3 weeks. It is based on a 2D concept image I saw on the Monster House DVD, which I think was done by Chris Appelhans. (If I'm wrong please correct me.) Well that was the starting inspiration for this model. The music is a free download from Ronald Jenkees.

Currently I've left Rockstar Games in an effort to find my own place in the video game industry. You have to leave home if you're going to grow up. Rockstar was home for me.

Please let me know what you think so that I can become a better artist, thanks.

This is a painting I created in photoshop a little while ago. It was my first attempt at photorealism. I still like it so I figured I'd post it. I'll figure out how to post other images of the .psd layers along with this and get those up. I got lucky...I still learn from examining this file. :-)
